Christ Carrying the Cross (1580s) is a oil on canvas painting by the Spanish Renaissance painter, sculptor and architect El Greco. This painting is among the most beautiful devotional paintings of El Greco. It was very successful: there are seven closely related versions of this image for private meditation. The painting (105 x 79 cm) is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
